OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

The High Class was born when Sita decided to develop a body scrub to compliment her sister's lash and body waxing business. She wanted to develop something that was anti-inflammatory and moisturizing to soothe and gently exfoliate sensitive and inflamed skin after a wax routine. To start, she did research, developed the recipe, and produced the first batch. At first, she tested the product on herself and found that she experienced multiple benefits such as pain relief, relaxation, and aromatherapy; in addition to the exfoliating, moisturizing, and anti-inflammatory benefits that were originally sought after. She also developed a 3-benefit lip balm that doubles as an under-eye and dark spot corrector. Sita began sampling the products to her friends, family, and co-workers and received many positive reviews.

 

During this time, she learned about the Annual D.C. Growers Cup and decided to compete. The D.C. Growers Cup is an annual event to celebrate the legal use and growth of cannabis in the District of Columbia, and the original Cannabis Competition in the Nation's Capital. After looking at their site, she realized they didn't have a category for cannabis topicals and inquired about submitting an entry. After speaking with Walter McGill, the contest founder, the "personal care" category was created and was Sita was one of the first entries in that category.  On May 29, 2021, Sita was awarded 1st place in the "Personal Care" category. She has since developed a third product, the Cardamom & Clove Moisturizing Body Bar, which also took 1st place in the D.C. Growers Cup May 28, 2022.
